Description

The Amedea is a layered necklace, which means the design falls on the neckline in more than one line instead of a single chain. That gives a plain top some depth at the front without you having to combine two separate pieces and get the lengths to agree.

Sterling Forever makes the piece for women and gives it a range of 16 to 18 inches, so it can sit high near the base of the neck or drop a little lower toward the collarbone. Two inches of play is enough to move the necklace from a crew neck to an open shirt.

Take it off before a shower or a swim, since water sits in the links and takes a while to dry there. Keep it flat and on its own in a pouch so it cannot knot around other chains, and run a soft dry cloth over it when you take it off.
