Description

A heart outline holds the diamonds on each stud, sized small enough to sit neatly on the lobe. Up close the shape is clear; from a few steps away it reads as a warm point of light against the ear.

The earrings are made in solid 10K yellow gold rather than a plated finish, and the set stones are diamond. Ten karat gold is harder than the higher-karat alloys, which helps a small stud hold its edges and its setting through years of regular wear.

This works as a gift as easily as it works as an everyday pair, and it makes a straightforward first set of diamond studs. Wash them gently in warm water with a soft brush behind the setting, where lotion and soap collect and slowly dim the stones.
