Description
A pair of stud earrings, each set with one round stone in a smoky gray with a faint warm, brownish cast. The face of each stone is covered in flat facets, triangles and four-sided planes, clearest around the outer edge. Blue and green iridescence shows toward the upper right, a yellow patch toward the lower left, and a blue streak at the left edge.
Four prongs with rounded tips hold each stone, one at each diagonal a quarter turn apart, none at the top, bottom or sides, with each tip lying over the rim of the stone face. They are the only visible part of the setting. No hallmark, karat mark or brand stamp is visible on either earring; silver-tone describes the pale neutral color of the metal, and the material is not stated by the manufacturer.
These suit anyone after a single-stone round stud in a neutral smoky tone rather than a bright or strongly colored one, and no stone or setting size is stated.
