Description

Three pieces are shown: a pendant on a fine cable chain and a matching pair of lever-back earrings. Each holds a faceted oval turquoise in a bright sky blue, gripped by four prongs, with one small round clear stone set just above it. The metal reads as a warm yellow gold tone throughout, chain and lever backs included.

The earring back carries a 925 stamp, so the mounts are sterling silver under 18K yellow gold plating. The stones are cut with facets rather than left as smooth cabochons, and they pass light. Natural turquoise is opaque and is not faceted, so these are the simulated turquoise Gem Stone King uses in this design, not mined stone. The earrings fasten with hinged lever backs.

The pairing suits someone who wears gold rather than silver and wants color from a stone that is not a clear gem. Turquoise and plating both react badly to chemicals, so keep the set away from perfume, sunscreen and cleaning products, and wipe it dry with a soft cloth after wearing instead of rinsing it.
